FEE Workaround: The official Treasure Island website is offering a special promotion that eliminates the resort fee. To get this package guests MUST book via the official TI website and not through a third party like a travel agency, travel zoo, expedia, etc. The link is:

http://www.treasureisland.com/special_offers/

and the promotion is ‘$69’ TV special. It’s actually a good package that includes 2 for 1 Cirque du Soleil tickets and a buy one, get one 50% buffet coupon. At check-in let the front desk know that you will be forgoing the Resort Fee and the included Amenities (such as Internet, fitness center, etc).

Property Info:

Built in 1993, TI has changed ownership numerous times over the years. It is currently an Independent Hotel (a rarity on the Las Vegas Strip), owned by Phil Ruffin. The near 3000 room resort hosts a free live show night, ‘Sirens of TI’. The hotel also hosts the Cirque du Soleil show ‘Mystere’.

undisclosed resort fees

Jun 24, 2013 by Wanda S

We booked our room at TI in a package deal so were surprised when our credit card statement showed we had an additional charge(for resort fees). The group that we paid for the package deal did not disclose there would be any additional fees...The TI registration desk also did not disclose there would be an additional resort fees charge when we checked in. WE WILL NOT BE STAYING AT TI THE NEXT TIME WE ARE IN LAS VEGAS......

We did not receive any coupons for buffet and we were not offered a newspaper. We didn't know these were even included until we got home and looked at the website.

I booked through the TI Players club and was given an option on whether I wanted to pay the resort fees or not. I would not use any to the items included in the resort fee and did not pay for them. I loved this about the hotel.
